FBReader is a multiplatform (available for Linux, Windows and FreeBSD) e-book reader that is also compatible with mobile devices from several manufacturers (Sharp, Nokia, Siemens or Motorola).

The long list of formats that are supported by FBReader include fb2, HTML, CHM, plucker, Palmdoc, zTxt, TCR, RTF, OEB and OpenReader.

Indicate the folder that contains your e-books. FBReader will then detect all the compatible e-books, even when they are stored in a compressed file (TAR, GZIP, ZIP or BZIP2).

FBReader includes an indicator on the bottom of its interface that lets you know what part of the book you're in, shows you any images embedded in the e-book, supports footnotes and hyperlinks and can rotate the document.
